One of the best things about the annual National Tom Sawyer Days celebration in Hannibal is live music, and the 2013 edition will not disappoint.

The festival will feature plenty of music this year, starting with rock band Further Ado on Wednesday, July 3 at 8pm. The cover charge is $3. Thursday, July 4 it's the "4th of July House party" featuring the Hannibal Jaycees house DJ's, also known as the Nerds. That nights cover charge is only $1.

The last two nights feature bands that have a large and growing following among KICK listeners. Madd Hoss Jackson is the star of "ladies night" on Friday, July 5 and will play from 8pm until 12:30am. Ladies get in free for the show, the cover for men is $3. The band's new album, recorded recently in Nashville will be released late this summer. Hear our interview with the band and listen to two songs they preformed in our studio here.

Then on Saturday, July 6 a band that seems poised to go nationwide with their new single "Booze Cruise" will take the stage when Blackjack Billy performs from 8pm to 12:30am. Their debut single is undergoing national release currently. See the video for the song below.

Bryan Hammock of the Hannibal Jaycees joined us on the KICK-FM morning show to talk about the shows and National Tom Sawyer Days' other features, as well as the new location. Hear that interview here...
