Summertime in Hannibal, Missouri is a great time to explore Mark Twain's hometown.

I've said this before, but Hannibal is my second home. I love going to the shops. I love the history. The fall time of year is my favorite time to explore Hannibal, but the summertime on a lazy afternoon gives you time to do shopping and eat some of the great food that Hannibal has to offer. And it's a great time to see live music!

The 'Music Under the Stars' conceert season is underway. Coming up on Thursday, July 18 you can hear Dr. G and the Mudcats. They specialize in Mississippi/Texas Blues with some country swing in the mix too. The music starts at 7 p.m. next Thursday in downtown Hannibal.

'Music Under the Stars' is a free, outdoor summer concert series, presented by the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum. It is in its seventh season.
