Mother’s Day is this Sunday and it will mark the 98th Anniversary of the United States Congress passing of a resolution establishing the second Sunday in May as the official Mother’s Day in our country. Then President Woodrow Wilson signed the legislation for this beloved holiday. It may be the 98th year for Mother’s Day but Sunday will mark the second year that I will not be celebrating the day with my mother who passed away in January of 2011. We all must go through the sadness of losing a mother sometime in our life but the hurt of her not being here for this Sunday will still sting. For those of you who still have the opportunity to spend time with your mother this Sunday, enjoy it to the fullest. The time will come when she won’t be there and all you will have are your memories of her. So give her a big hug and kiss because you can’t hug or kiss memories.
