Due to wet pavement conditions today and rain forecasted for the area this week, MoDOT crews have rescheduled the lane-marking operations on north and southbound US 61 at Palmyra in Marion County. The installation of new arrows and other necessary pavement marking is a weather dependent operation and has tentatively been planned for the following dates.April 9 - one lane traffic northbound from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and southbound from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for pavement marking operations at Marion County Road 334 at Palmyra.

April 11 or week of April 15 - one lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pavement marking operations from Thompson to Main Cross Street at Palmyra.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane during the operations. Crews and equipment will be working close to traffic in the work zone, please use extra caution while traveling through these areas.

All roadwork is posted on the traveler information map. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones.
