May 5 is First Day of Farmer’s Market In ‘The District’

As you looked out your window the past few days watching the snow flurries fly, I am sure the last thing you asked yourself was "when is the opening of this year's Farmer's Market in The District?" Well, believe it or not, the weather will eventually cooperate and gardens will be planted and the Farmer's Market will be operating. With that said, the first day of the Farmer's Market in 'The District' will be Saturday, May 5 (Dogwood Parade Day), at Washington Park. The Farmer's Markets will run from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday's throughout the summer.

The event usually sees between 20 and 40 vendors each weekend.  This year's event is sponsored by the Quincy Medical Group. For more information about this year's Farmer's Market, go to www.thedistrictquincy.com.
