The Madonna House Food Pantry has announced a  new location in Quincy at 601 State Street complements of Knapheide Manufacturing. Food pantry patrons can now park on State Street, South Sixth Street or in the parking lot north of the building.

The food pantry will be free choice and open Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The Diaper Pantry will be open Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. to  3:00 p.m.

Food and monetary donations for the pantry will continue to be accepted at 405 South 12th Street location.  In 2013, Madonna House served 7,810 individuals with hunger relief and has served residents, former residents and Adams County residents since 2004.

Madonna House could also use some volunteer assistance as well. A current need is volunteering at their food pantry on Tuesday and / or Saturday.

Since 1988, Madonna House has provided a 24 hour supervised emergency and transitional shelter. They can serve a maximum of 6 families at one time, with a house capacity of 14 to 16 individual family members.

In 2013, Madonna House Homelessness Prevention Program was expanded to include at risk of homelessness individuals. Services provided focus on housing stabilization, building self-sufficiency, and enhancing employment skills.
