One of the most picturesque communities in the area is throwing a party this weekend, as the 31st annual Country Colorfest comes to Louisiana, Missouri.

The Country Colorfest runs Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, with activities focused from the riverfront through the downtown area.

Saturday's schedule includes a car show and swap meet and a parade at 10 a.m., a Fireman's Combat Challenge and a Tractor Show at 11 a.m. and the Little Mr. and Miss, Jr. Miss and Miss Louisiana pageants beginning at 12:45 p.m.

Sunday's highlights include a motorcycle show at 10 a.m., a baby show at 1 p.m., the Great Mississippi River Duck Race at 2, and the Louisiana's Got Talent contest from 1-4 p.m.

Featured both days will be craft and food vendors, a young artists art show and a Kid's Korner. The Louisiana Area Historical Museum will also be open both days.
