It is an event that has been going on in Quincy and the surrounding area since 1974...The Little People's Golf Championships.

This competitive golf event has seen some wonderful youngsters participate from all over the world. It's founder, Nan Ryan , has to feel wonderful to watch the P.G.A. events on TV and see some great alumni playing like Luke Guthrie, D.A. Points and Rory Mcllroy to name a few. The tourney has seen a recent decline in players but in line with that is the fact that there are many more tournaments being held around the country in recent years. There was talk of it possibly ending altogether but thanks to long standing sponsor,Refreshment Services Pepsi, and Titan Wheel, a brand new sponsor this year, along with WGEM-TV and The Quincy Herald Whig the event may rebound stronger than ever.  The event will be held at three different courses, The K of C Course and Westview Golf Course in Quincy and the Harry Mussato Course in Macomb. This tournament has brought in thousands of dollars to the Quincy economy with families traveling to Quincy and staying in motels and eating in local restaurants.  It looks like hot golf and hot weather will be taking place in the next few days. Welcome to all who are visiting our area.  Good luck on the links!
