Tickets have gone on sale for Quincy Community Theatre's upcoming production of Lend Me a Tenor, which will be on the QCT main stage September 10-13 and September 18-20.

QCT says they've chosen some of the funniest actors and actresses around to star in Lend Me a Tenor.

Running this madcap farce is Kevin Jobe as Henry Saunders, the irritable general manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera; Michael Burling as Max, Saunders’ frazzled assistant; Molly Oppenheim as Maggie Saunders, Saunders’ daughter, Max’s girlfriend, and Merelli’s biggest fan; George Ausmus as Tito Merelli, the renowned opera tenor (and ladies’ man); Susan Scholz as Maria Merelli, Tito’s quick-tempered, but beautiful, wife; Ann Pfaffe as Diana, the opera’s leading soprano who is seducing her way to the top; Tamy Cassady as Julia, self-proclaimed “grande dame” and chairwoman of the opera; and David Skaggs as The Bellhop, a rabid opera fan working at the hotel." - Quincy Community Theatre

Lend Me a Tenor is a "raucous comedy, set in the 1930s" that follows the fiery-tempered, world famous Italian superstar Tito Merelli as he arrives in Cleveland, OH to make his debut with the local opera company; then goes missing.

QCT will also have an exclusive workshop for children 5-10, entitled “Family Night Out,” on Saturday, September 19 for kids whose parents attend that evening’s performance of Lend Me a Tenor. Registered children will spend their time participating in a theatre workshop doing stimulating show-related activities. “Family Night Out” tickets are $18, available only to children ages 5-10. Families who wish to participate must make reservations by Monday, September 14. Walk-ups for “Family Night Out” will not be accepted.

Tickets to Lend Me a Tenor are $18, and are on sale now. For tickets, to volunteer backstage, or to serve as an usher, visit 1qct.org or call the QCT Box Office, located in the Oakley-Lindsay Center, at (217) 222-3209.
