The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center will be closing the facility for a week beginning on Monday, August 8th through Friday, August 12th as it undergoes facility improvements.

According to the Kroc Center, it was necessary to set aside a period of time where they could solely focus on the maintenance and custodial needs of the Kroc Center.  Many of the items that need attention require them to shut down entire areas of the building, and in some cases, the work creates unsafe conditions for their members to be exposed to while working out. Therefore, it was decided to shut the facility down to work to maintain the excellence of the facility.

To accommodate its members, a reciprocal agreement partnership with Quincy University has been put into place while the Kroc Center is closed from August 8th through the 12th. Kroc members can show their membership ID card at Q.U.’s Fitness Center to receive free access. Access will be granted only during the time of the Kroc Center’s closure, and excludes fitness classes.

The Kroc Center is scheduled to re-open under regular business hours of 7 a.m. to       8 p.m. on August 13.
