Kelly Clarkson will select a handful of lucky fans to serve as featured singers on her upcoming tour, she announced on Twitter, but on Tuesday (May 26), it was she who was being recruited...by a 10-year-old!

Clarkson, who most recently shared a stage with this year's fourth-place "Voice" finisher, was with a family member at Nashville karaoke spot Sam's when a bold young fan named Ava Davis marched up to her and asked for accompaniment on a rendition of The B-52s' "Love Shack." Never one to shy away from a live set, Kelly obliged, and thankfully, Ava's mom Angie managed to catch the (brilliant) resulting performance on camera.

In the clip above, Kelly and Ava go for gold, though Kelly admits the 1989 hit doesn't necessarily roll off her tongue. It is only a matter of time, though, before they start making magic, and from where Ava's mom was sitting, the moment was truly unforgettable.

"It was awesome! Kelly was so gracious," Angie told Ram Country, and added she "tears up" when she recalls the evening. "She was very, very sweet." Definitely sounds like the same gal who snatched the title of America's Sweetheart on Idol's inaugural season.

Kelly's "Piece By Piece" tour will kick off on Saturday, July 11 in Hershey, Pennsylvania and feature performances by Pentatonix and Eric Hutchinson. If you haven't snapped up your tickets already, you can buy them here.
