A job fair will be held on Thursday, March 27 at the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center at 639 York Street.

The job fair is being sponsored by the Workforce Investment Board of Western Illinois, Experience Works and the West Central IL Area Agency on Aging, and will have a special focus on finding work for seniors, though employers will meet with prospective employees of all ages. "Senior workers will be given special priority from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.," according to a release detailing the event. "From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the job fair will be open to senior workers as well as the general public."

The schedule of events for the March 27 job fair as follows:

9 a.m. to 10 a.m. - "Building a Support Network" panel discussion

10 a.m. to 1 p.m  - Senior workers meet with prospective employers

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  - General public meets with prospective employers.

The job fair will be free to attend, and free booths are available for employers wishing to set up booths. Businesses wishing to attend should contact Laura Megown at 217-223-5700.
