John Wood Community College will host a Pokémon Go game at the Quincy campus at 1301 South 48th Street on Wednesday, August 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, and all ages are welcome to attend.

Pokémon Go is a popular smart phone game which involves walking and interactivity. Users hunt for Pokémon creatures using a smart phone and “catch” them through a mix of real life and virtual reality.

John Wood has one Pokéstop and will have 8 lure modules to attract Pokémon creatures. The first 50 participants to sign in will get a free JWCC T-shirt and all participants can enter a drawing to win a prize.

A booth will be set up at the main entrance to the Student & Administration building for check-in. For more information, contact Emily Dozier, admission's advisor, at 217-641-4358 or edozier@jwcc.edu.
