The Quincy Park District, KICK-FM and Y101 Radio invite you to go fishing. Saturday, June 8 is the date for the annual Fishing Rodeo at Moorman Lake in Quincy.

Contestants will compete for prizes in several age divisions. There will also be prizes for the largest fish caught. There are no entry fees and no admission charge to attend. It is also free fishing days in the state of Illinois, which means no fishing license is required to fish in the state on Saturday, June 8.

Registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the fishing begins at 1:30 p.m. Prizes will also be awarded for the largest bass, largest crappie, largest catfish and largest carp, measured by length. The day will wrap up with an award for the oldest and the youngest fisher-person whether they catch a fish or not.
