It’s Hot in Quincy, Illinois! Let’s Talk About Cool Stuff

These are the dog days of summer, which means it is hot hot hot! So let’s talk cool stuff. Like back in the day in Quincy, Illinois

Remember when you could go to Sandy’s and get a cool drink of Pepsi in a bottle? Then, if you got hungry, you could go to Maid-Rite on Broadway. Were there two or three of them in Quincy at one time? And yes, ice cream in uptown Quincy at Woolworths, next to the WCU building. Then at night time you could go all the way out to 36th and State and dance the night away at The Barn, or go even farther out on the two lane highway and go roller skating at Scotties Skating Rink.

Good times in Quincy. Stay Cool!
