It’s All About The Fun At Fair Time

If you can't have fun at a fair, where can you have fun?

Just walking up to the fair from the car makes me smile because I know that the kids (and us older kids) will have some fun, eat some great fair food, play a game or two and probably see somebody we haven't seen in a year (or more!).

I will be at the Marion County Fair in Palmyra tonight broadcasting live from the Y101 trailer, and just having fun at the fair. This is my first visit to the Marion County Fair in a long time, so I am really looking forward to seeing many people I have not seen for a while.

Friday events include the Palmyra Jaycees Demolition Derby, and hopefully we'll get to talk with the new Miss Marion County Fair Queen.

Saturday, August 2 is the Amateur Talent contest at 7 p.m. with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes in each division with over $700 in prizes. Also on Saturday is the Palmyra Young Farmers Super Pull. They really bring the crowd in for the Super Pull and it is all fun.
