Yesterday marked the 28th anniversary of the worst business decision ever made. I am sure it was made with the best of intentions, but the decision was met with a great deal of resistance from throughout the world.

It was on April 23rd, 1985 that the Coca Cola Company announced that it was changing its secret flavor formula for Coke, the world's best selling soft drink.  What followed was adverse public reaction and it forced the company to resume selling the original version which then became known as Coke Classic.

Its been 28 years since "the" decision was made and people still refer to it as the worst marketing decision ever made.  Why would you take the best selling soft drink and try to change it? That question is still looking for an answer.
