For 47 years the Antique Auto Museum in Quincy has been available for people to enjoy on Father's Day and throughout the year, but will this be its last year?

The museum is owned by local car owners who belong to The Mississippi Valley Historic Auto Club and those owners are hoping that the FREE admission this Sunday for Father’s Day will get people to come out and hopefully, save the museum at its current site.

The Quincy Park Board has notified the Mississippi Valley Historic Auto Club that they have remove their vehicles from Park District property at All America Park by December 31, 2015. The Park Board has said the Museum does not fit in with the Park District's mission and future plans, and the Park District also doesn't have the financial means to support the maintenance or upkeep in the years to come.

The Auto Club says they will decide at their July meeting whether to fight the eviction or find an alternative.

This Sunday is Father's Day and one of the great places to take dad is the Quincy Antique Auto Museum at All America Park. Its a chance to peruse through some 30 antique vehicles and carriages and it is all free this Sunday. Normal admission is $2. The Antique Auto Museum will also be open on Sunday afternoons, now through Labor Day, from noon to 4.

So will it be the last year for the Antique Auto Museum?  Only time will tell. Better take Dad there this Sunday just in case.
