Illinois Woman to be Profiled on Lifetime’s New Series ‘The Sisterhood’

Lifetime will debut a new series called 'The Sisterhood' in November. The show will follow five women who are considering taking religious vows to become Catholic nuns. One of the women, Claire Halbur, is a 26-year-old from Joliet, Illinois. She was brought up in a devout Catholic home, and serves as a a parish music minister. 

According to a news release from Lifetime, Claire - along with 27-year-old Christie Young from California, 23-year-old Eseni Ellington from New York, 21-year-old Francesca DiPaola from New Jersey, and 26-year-old Stacey Jackson from New York - will " leave behind everything they have come to love – boyfriends, family members and all their worldly possessions – to see if they have what it takes to become servants of the church."

Lifetime claims that their network has been given unprecedented access to three convents - including The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence in Chicago - where the women will live and work alongside nuns during their discernment.

Six episodes of 'The Sisterhood'have been ordered. The series will premiere on Tuesday, November 25 at 9 p.m. CT.
