Illinois State Police Do The Job To Keep You Safe

We here at Y101 radio get updates on what The Illinois State Police do, and they are busy.

Here is what the Illinois State Police did during the month of January 2015 in the five counties of Adams, Brown, Pike, Schuyler and Scott. District 20 officers completed 134 motor carrier safety inspections on commercial motor vehicles resulting in 22 vehicles/drivers being placed out of service for safety related violations. Four citations were for overweight violations. Traffic enforcement activities resulted in 12 total alcohol related arrests which include 10 citations for driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. Troopers also made 15 criminal arrests in the month of January. District 20 personnel presented 45 Safety Education Programs to various schools,business and civic organizations. As you can tell, they stay busy protecting you, your homes and families.
