Illinois Bridal Shops to Compete on ‘Best in Bridal’

The FYI network has announced October 7 as the premiere date for the new series 'Best in Bridal,' which will follow two Illinois bridal shops as they compete against one another for business.

'Best in Bridal' will focus on Complete Bridal, an East Dundee, Illinois salon owned and operated by Dave Gaffke and his all-male team; and Shelley’s Bridal Couture, an all-female, more traditional and no nonsense boutique managed by Shelley Murray in West Dundee, Illinois. Murray is Gaffke's former boss, and the rivalry between the two shops is described as "explosive."

According to a news release from FYI,  "Each episode will feature three brides, and their demanding entourage, as they try to find the perfect wedding gown for their big day. Viewers will see a myriad of dresses – from budget to high-end to the latest trends – as well as learn the history behind bridal design staples and the best possible fits for every shape and size."

Fourteen half-hour episodes will air on FYI at 8 p.m. CT beginning October 7.
