I Miss the Days of Western TV Shows and Movies

In this day of reality TV you would be hard pressed to see any television or movies with a "western" setting. That was not the case years ago, though. TV was filled with westerns and there were plenty of western movies to see, as well.

This week marked the 59th anniversary of the debut of 'Gunsmoke' on CBS Television. The TV western featured James Arness as Marshall Matt Dillon and Amanda Blake as Miss Kitty. 'Gunsmoke' ran for 20 years on TV, making it the longest running prime-time drama series.

There were plenty of other western shows like 'Bonanza' and 'The Lone Ranger' to name a few. What other westerns were there?
