How Tall Is Quincy’s Tallest Building?
You probably go by it everyday or might even work in it.
It is a landmark in towering over the Quincy landscape. Quincy’s own skyscraper you might say. It’s Quincy’s WCU Building. WCU is Western Catholic Union building. But do you know how tall it really is or how many floors it has or when it was constructed. I can give you some info on that.
The WCU building was built in Quincy in 1925. There are 11 floors above ground. The architectural height is 165.00 feet. It is made of brick and steel. The facade color of the WCU Building is brown. The architectural style is beaux-arts.
I have been in the building and up on the roof many times and yes, you can see for miles. It is a Quincy landmark, something Quincy can be very proud of. So when you go by it this Saturday, walking in the Dogwood parade, take a moment and look up at it. It is an amazing site. Quincy is an amazing town.
