Horizon’s Empty Bowl Event is this Sunday

Plans are underway to hold the Horizon's Empty Bowls 2016 at Quincy Senior High School this Sunday. The event will be held Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Quincy Senior High Cafeteria at 3322 Maine Street in Quincy.
Tickets on sale now at both Hy-Vee locations and are also available at Horizons at 701 Hampshire Street in Quincy or by calling Horizons at 217-224-5530. Tickets are $10 and include a simple meal of soup, bread, dessert and drink.
You will also be asked to take home one of the hand painted “Empty Bowls” as a reminder of all individuals in our community who are unsure of the source of their next meal. These bowls have been painted by local students from the Quincy public and Catholic schools. There will be hundreds of beautiful bowls to choose from.
The event will also include a raffle of gift baskets. All proceeds from the event will go to support the ministry and mission of Horizons Social Services, "where no one leaves hungry!" To find out more on Horizon's Social services, go to www.horizonssocialservices.com.
