HONK! JR Coming to Quincy Community Theater

What is HONK! JR? It is a comedy for the whole family loaded with fun, and it's coming to Quincy Community Theatre February 13 - 15.

HONK! JR is a musical adaptation of Han Christian Andersen's 'The Ugly Duckling,' and a heart warming adventure of one odd looking baby duck named Ugly. Despite his mother’s protective flapping, the other ducklings refuse to accept their brother. When he finds himself lured away by a mischievous Cat, this young fowl ends up on a whirlwind journey to be reunited with his family. Along the way, Ugly learns a very important lesson: everyone is different in their own way.

“What I love about this version is, even though he still turns into a beautiful swan at the end, his journey has given him the confidence and independence to be beautiful on the inside too,” said QCT's Director of Student Theatre, Kelsey Celek. “It's a story of acceptance with a wonderful message for family audiences.”
