For 29 years fans of the Kansas City Royals have waited for a post season game and now the Royals have made their way to game one of the World Series tonight in Kansas City. So now the dilemma begins for the Royal fans. Do I mortgage the house to buy a World Series ticket of should I stay home and watch it on TV.

I looked into going over to last week's ALCS playoff games in Kansas City, but all the tickets were gone except standing room only tickets which cost close to $200 apiece. So the TV became a better option for me. So I did a little checking on what people are paying for tickets to the World Series between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals. Here is what I found.

According to a CNN report, seat geek Connor Gregoire is reporting that the Royals were charging fans an average of $1000 a ticket last week. They have added several thousand additional tickets for sale for the World Series so now the Royal fans will be paying an average of $883 per ticket for game one. If you think that is crazy, the Giant fans will be paying an average of $1056 per ticket when the World Series moves to San Francisco.

Let’s see?  Should I stay home and watch the game on free TV and keep between $883 and $1056 in my bank account? I think I know what I am going to do.
