Quincy Police Chief Rob Copley is a long time supporter of Special Olympics and he once again will continue his support by plunging into icy waters for Polar Plunges.  He has taken the plunge in the icy waters of Moorman Lake many times over the years at the local Polar Plunges. Not only that, he also participates in the State's Super Plunges for Special Olympics as well.

He participated in his first Super Plunge in 2014 and coming up on February 16 and 17 he will be taking on the Super Plunge once again! This year the the Super Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois is going to be held at Northwestern University Beach, in Evanston, Illinois.  Plungers there jump once an hour for 24 hours into the icy waters of Lake Michigan.

The Chief's plunges are all fundraisers for Special Olympics. Anyone interested in supporting Chief Copley or getting more information on this event can go to: https://soill.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=34667

I had the opportunity to talk with Chief Copley about his upcoming plunges and his support of Special Olympics.
