Hannibal Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

On Thursday, March 13 2014, Detectives of the Hannibal Police Department Narcotics Unit, served a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of North Griffith.

During the course of the search detectives located and seized substances believed to be crack cocaine, marijuana and prescription narcotics. Also seized were several items of paraphernalia. 33 year old Jamie L. Morgan, of Hannibal, was arrested at the scene and placed on a 24 hour hold. A warrant was issued Thursday afternoon by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Morgan with the class B felony of Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. Morgan remains in the Marion County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
