Here are just some of the upcoming events from Hannibal Parks and Recreation.

Do you like to get muddy? Here is the place for you. They call it the Big Dirt Dig and it will happen on June 6 at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center. Children can bring toys and enjoy some messy play time. That sounds like fun to me.

Swim time is just around the corner, and the registration deadline for swim lessons is June 6 for the first session. Classes are June 15-25 (Monday-Thursday) from 6:10-6:50 p.m. Only 24 slots available in each session, minimum age is 4 years old. You can register at the Parks and Recreation Department at 320 Broadway in Hannibal.

And who does not like Scavenger Hunts? They are a ton of fun. Scavenger hunts will be held at Central Park, Nipper Park, Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse and Huckleberry Park. All of this is free. And you can win prizes from Big Muddy B-B-Q, Chocolaterie Stam, Paddlewheel Popcorn and Logue's Restaurant. Clues can be found at the Hannibal Parks and Recreation office at City Hall, 320 Broadway and the HVCB office at 505 N. Third street.
