Hannibal kept their unbeaten season going with a 35-14 victory over Jefferson City Helias. Shamar Griffith again led the Pirates' offense with 30 carries for 137 yards and four touchdowns, while Jerry McBride carried 15 times for 169 yards and a score.

Hannibal faces the Mexico Bulldogs next Friday night for the right to advance to the Class 4 quarterfinals.

Palmyra also advanced to their district championship with a 53-12 win over North Callaway.

Sophomore running back Peyton Plunkett, filling in for senior Travis Harvey, logged 18 carries for 122 yards and three touchdowns. Phillip Bland ran for 152 yards and scored twice -- once on the ground and once on a pass interception return.

The Panthers will meet Clark County for the district title in Palmyra Friday night.
