If you have accumulated unwanted items around your property in Hannibal this weekend is for you. The Hannibal city-wide cleanup will be held this Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on South Main Street in Hannibal.  The Hannibal Department of Public Works is hoping citizens of Hannibal will take advantage of the opportunity to remove junk and unwanted items from their property to help improve their property and the appearance of the City of Hannibal as well.

This event was last held in Hannibal in 2012, so officials are anticipating a large amount of items including broken appliances, tires and old furniture. Car tires will be assessed a $3 fee to collect and over-sized tires will not be accepted. There is also a list of other items that will not be accepted including oil, paint, liquids, yard waste, televisions and computers.

The line to deposit items will form on Bluff Street off of Highway 79.  This opportunity is only for Hannibal residents who will need to also provide a valid Identification.  If you have any questions, contact the Hannibal Department of Public Works at 573-221-0111.
