One of my favorite things about the month of Halloween (Halloweenember? Halloweentober? Halloweenuary?) is all the great horror movies we get to watch. From the streaming services to the cable network marathons, the choices are endless. And of course, my favorite venue, the theatrical re-releases.

B&B Theatres in Hannibal regularly hosts Tuesday Night Retro Nights, showcasing some classic films for you to enjoy. Either as a revisit of a beloved favorite, or to introduce younger audiences to these films. I've been able to see some of my all time favorites,  but for the first time on a big screen, instead of on my TV. It's a wonderful experience. B&B Theatres in Hannibal has announced their October Halloween Movie Retro Night Line-up, which includes one of the best.

First up is Tim Burton's 1988 comedy Beetlejuice, starring Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara and Jeffrey Jones. The film will have two showings on Tuesday, October 10th, at 4pm and 7pm.

On Tuesday, October 24th, B&B will hold screenings of the 1991 Jonathan Demme classic The Silence of the Lambs, starring Anthony Hopkins, Jodie Foster, Scott Glenn and Ted Levine. This will also feature two showings at 4pm and 7pm.

And finally, Halloween night will host two screenings of the iconic, genre defining John Carpenter masterpiece, 1978's Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence. I caught this on a re-release a few years back, and seeing it on on the big screen was an experience. I highly recommend it.
