Residents and staff members will be donating more than 600 food items to the Salvation Army to help fill the pantry shelves.  The food drive was held for several weeks at Good Samaritan Home and residents, their family members, employees, and staff contributed food items with the goal of reaching at least 500 items to be donated.

Cindy Gilbert, Director of Admissions at Good Samaritan explained, “The residents are continually looking for ways that they can return the kindness that has been shone to them by so many people in the community.  The food drive to fill some of the pantry shelves was something they could all get behind, and something that’s a win-win for both organizations.”

Salvation Army and Good Samaritan Home officials will be on hand when the seniors help load the truck on Tuesday morning at 9:30 at Good Samaritan Home.
