Safe Kids of Adams County will host their monthly car seat check this weekend at a Quincy firehouse.

On Saturday, September 23 form 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, parents can bring their car seats to the Central Fire Station (906 Vermont in Quincy) where certified car seat installers will make sure you have the seat installed correctly and that they are not expired or recalled.  All certified car seat installers have been through at least 40 hours of training and must re-certify every 2-years.

As parents, we are always concerned for the safety of our children. This week reminds all parents how important car safety is and how to be proactive in making sure your child's car seat is secure.

If you cannot make this Saturday's car seat check, you can check out future dates on the Adams County Health Department website. This is a free event and the process typically takes less than 15 minutes.
