The Quincy Gems are preparing to hold five large fireworks displays after games conclude on June 30, July 1, 3, 8 and 15. As a result, their parking lot on Sycamore Street will not be available on those dates.

With the new turf fields on both the football side and the infield of the baseball side of Q.U. Stadium, the Gems are not able to shoot traditional fireworks from the field.

Therefore, the Gems will need to close off the Sycamore Street parking lot. Closing that parking lot will allow the Gems to shoot the traditional fireworks from the parking lot, saving the turf fields from damage while giving the fans the best fireworks experience.

Fans will need to park on streets around the ball park or take a special Gems shuttle bus that the Gems have set up for these five dates.  Those shuttle buses, at no charge, will transport people from the Blue Cross-Blue Shield parking lots at 30th and Locust beginning at 4:30 p.m. to Q.U. Stadium and transport fans back to their cars after the fireworks displays end on those evening.
