Frigid Temps Halt Garbage & Recycle Pickup for Wednesday

Due to the extreme cold temperatures forecast of Wednesday morning, there will be no garbage or recycle pick up in the City of Quincy on Wednesday, January 30.  Both Wednesday and Thursday routes will instead be picked up on Thursday, January 31.  All other City of Quincy services will be open on Wednesday as usual.

City Hall will be open regular business hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 730 Maine Street.  All other city services will be in operation.  Mayor Kyle Moore is encouraging everyone to dress warm, bring pets indoors, check on the elderly and home-bound and to avoid prolonged exposure to these extreme conditions.

On the bright side, temperatures are expected to be in the upper 40's and lower 50's this weekend in the area.
