It's hard to believe but the season for the Blues in the District will come to an end tonight at Washington Park as the band Mississippi Heat performs.  It seems like these series of concerts just got started and "poof" they are over already. Despite the heat of the summer the turnouts have been great and people really do enjoy wrapping up their workweek with these events.  If you haven't been to one, tonight's gets underway at 5:30 and goes to 9:30.  It is free to attend. Just bring your lawn chairs and your own food and beverage and enjoy the great blues music in the park. There will be food to purchase as well and you are guaranteed to see your friends there.

Tonight's event is sponsored by the Quincy Park District. Thanks to the Historic Quincy Business District for putting these concerts on.  I will be at my favorite spot seated next to what is now termed "My Rock" in the park.  See you tonight!
