Superhero 5K in Hannibal

Douglass Community Services- Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is calling all superheroes, sidekicks and friends of CASA to register for the CASA Superhero 5K/Fun Run on July 27, 2013 at Riverview Park.

Registration forms (online or to be downloaded) are available at www.nemocasa.org/News or at Douglass Community Services, 711 Grand Ave, Hannibal.  Participants who register prior to July 6, 2013 will be guaranteed a superhero race shirt.  This family friendly event welcomes observers in costume as well as runners.  In addition to recognition of race winners, prizes will be awarded to best superhero costumes.  Due to the recent damage at Riverview Park, the course map will not be announced until a later date.

Every child needs a hero, but abused children need superheroes!  Douglass Community Services- CASA trains and supports these superheroes in the form of volunteer advocates, serving children who have been removed from their home due to neglect or abuse, representing their best interests in court and other settings.  All proceeds from the race will benefit the children the CASA Program serves in Marion, Ralls and Monroe Counties.
