QUINCY UNIVERSITY SORORITY PLANS SILENT AUCTION
The ladies of Phi Sigma Sigma are hosting their first “Silent Night Auction” on December 7th, 2013 from 3:30 to 8:45 p.m. in the Three-Court Area in the Health and Fitness Center on Quincy University’s campus.
Donations such as items, services, gift cards, and Christmas themed goodies have been given by local Quincy businesses and will be bid on at the event in a silent auction format. There is no cost for attendance and the initial bidding price of the items will be set lower than the retail price. Bidding will continue throughout the event and the prizes will be awarded after the men’s basketball around 9:15 p.m.
All of the proceeds from the “Silent Night” Auction will go to Phi Sigma Sigma’s national philanthropy which is School and College Readiness for local Quincy schools and the Phi Sigma Sigma, Iota Beta Chapter at Quincy University.
Thirty-four sisters strong, the Iota Beta chapter of Quincy University hosts numerous events each year that not only benefit themselves as a chapter but the community as a whole. They actively participate in Special Olympics, their local philanthropy, which they raise thousands of dollars for each year as well as volunteering at their events.
