Mettazee Morris portrays Martha Jane Chisley Tolton at the Hannibal Free Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2:30 p.m. This is a free event and the public is welcome to attend.
Martha Tolton was the mother of the first African American priest in the United States. Father Augustus Tolton is being considered for canonization.
Mettazee is a well-known storyteller. She resides in Quincy.
