Additional Information

Canton’s Third Annual Parade of Lights is December 6th at 6 pm but the fun starts at 5pm with a short movie for the kids—“Shrek the Halls,” at the Lewis Street Playhouse.  In addition, the 4th Street Warehouse Jazz will have live music at the Canton Public Library beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing after the parade. A free will donation is suggested for the entertainment, with proceeds going toward the Buddy Pack Program. Santa will be in the parade and available to visit with children after the parade at the library. Lewis Street Playhouse will offer concessions. Any business, organization, or individual participating in the parade can have a motorized vehicle or trailer decorated in a holiday theme, and must have functional lighting. Parade participants are encouraged to hand out candy but are asked not to throw candy as it is a hazard to children at night. Parade participants are asked to donate a minimum of $5 or a new unwrapped gift. The gifts will be donated to NECAC.  To register, stop by or call Richard Horner’s Shelter Insurance office at 573-288-3734.
