On Saturday, September 19, Quincy Community Theater is having a special "Family Night Out" event designed for kids 5-10, in conjunction with the QCT production of Lend Me a Tenor

While parents enjoy the show, registered children will be able to participate in a theater workshop doing stimulating show-related activities, such as practicing physical comedy, playing theatrical games, and exploring the world of opera. Parents can also share a snack with their children during the show’s scheduled intermission, as well as a take a special Lend Me a Tenor photo with their kids.

“Theater is a powerful conversation starter and a great way to introduce new ideas,” said QCT's Head of Education, Kelsey Celek. “One of my favorite parts of attending a QCT show is hearing families talk about the show as they walk out to their cars. When we do a play that might not be the best fit for our youngest theatergoers, the Family Night Out is a great alternative. When families reunite at the end of the evening, they will have a lot to discuss!"

“Family Night Out” workshop tickets are $18 each, available for children ages 5-10. Tickets to Lend Me a Tenor are also $18. They go on sale August 17. Families who wish to participate must make reservations by Monday, September 14. Walk-ups will not be accepted.

Lend Me a Tenor is directed by Artistic Director Brandon Thomsen, with scenic design by Technical Director Paul Denckla, and stage management by Jeri Conboy.
