Douglass Community Services Faces Financial Cuts
Local Head Start Programs managed by Douglass Community Services will face financial cuts because of the federal sequestration, says the executive director.
Dave Dexheimer said that soon, Douglass Community Services will make decisions as to how to respond to the cuts. The centers serve 542 low-income families in eight Missouri counties.
He says their intent at this time is to continue to provide services through the end of this school year, and any changes will take place over the summer.
