Our good friend, and longtime Y101 personality Dennis “D.O.” Oliver joined us this morning with an important announcement.

For the past three years, Dennis has been battling Alzheimer’s disease.

“I had no idea I’d be in this situation,” he says. “I’m just going along, playing radio, stuff like that. But then all of the sudden something hit me that just kind of threw things off.”

He opened up about the challenge on this morning’s show:

Dennis retired at the end of 2016 after 24 years at y101 and more than four decades in radio.

We’ll be raising money to put an end to Alzheimer’s once and for all at a special “Roast to End Alzheimer’s” event on July 22 at Quincy’s Elk’s Club. For more information, CLICK HERE.
