Hats off to The Culver-Stockton Chapter of Delta Upsilon.

Every year at this time, young men and women from Culver-Stockton College in Canton cross the river to Quincy to join in a benefit for the Madonna House Shelter for women and children. Yes, it is a sleepover, if they get any sleep at all. The location of the event has changed over the years, but the overall theme of bringing awareness of homelessness has not. And this year, both the Delta Upsilon and Madonna House will be celebrating their 26th anniversary.

The location this year for the Delta Upsilon Homeless rally will be at the Hy-Vee on Broadway in Quincy. The Rally will be from Saturday, March 15, 8 a.m. to Sunday, March 16 at 12 p.m.

Madonna House is a homeless shelter for pregnant women and women with children that provides emergency shelter, transitional shelter, a food pantry and diaper pantry. A monthly average of 802 individuals is served monthly at the Madonna House Food Pantry Service.
