The Federal Communications Commission recently announced that it may be willing to allow cell phone usage on commercial airlines where they have been silent over the past years because of concerns with radio signal interference they could cause. Apparently testing has indicated that cell phone usage will not impede the radio signals needed by pilots to fly the planes. Before you jump for joy, you might want to think this one through.

This got me to thinking, would you want someone sitting next to you for two or three hours talking on their cell phone on an airplane for you and all to hear?  Not me. Delta Airlines will not allow voice calls to happen and I say hats off for a fine decision.  The last thing I want to hear is someone else's conversation while I am seat belted next to them.

Text messaging is another thing but voice conversation should be ruled out.  Great move Delta Airlines!
