This winter has certainly made people ask when will it ever end?  Well, I can tell you that the first day of Spring will be Wednesday, March 20. It can’t get here soon enough for me. Plus, we will soon be changing the clocks again!

The one bright spot now is the days are lighter longer and that is a good thing. Another thing to consider coming up, which is also a sign that spring is not that far off, is the day that Daylight Saving Time arrives.

This year the return of Daylight Saving Time is set for Sunday, March 10. That’s the day we change the clocks again springing forward one hour. So at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 10, we move the clocks to 3 a.m. Most of us will be sleeping so we actually will lose an hour sleep which is the hour we gained last November.

If I had my way we would just leave the clocks alone in Daylight Saving mode. The clock changes are good though for one safety reason in that is a reminder to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
