It is time to get out of the office and into some good music with Concerts in the Plaza.

Thanks to First Mid-Illinois Bank and Trust, the Concerts in the Plaza are back beginning May 14. It will run four consecutive Thursdays in the park space by the bank near 7th and Maine. The Thursday shows begin at 11:30 a.m. and go until 1 p.m. Lunch will be available from the Main Course food truck. There is no admission. Just come on by and enjoy the music during your lunch hour.

The concerts are part of this summer's  musical offerings that include Blues in the Park and noon Blues In The Park shows.  John Johannes, community president of the First Mid-Illinois Bank, says the concerts are a great way to showcase the green space beside the bank.

The shows are organized and produced by Rodney Hart of Second String Music and Frank Haxel of Vancil Performing Arts. The line up for the shows are May 14-Ted Holt, May 21-Steve Rees, May 28- Cori Lyssy, and June 4-Mike Shull.
