Pizza Hut Tip Night to benefit the Hannibal Class of 2011 will be held on Tuesday, March 20th at Pizza Hut at 4839 McMasters Avenue. The event will run from 5 to 8 pm that night. Come out to Hannibal Pizza Hut and support Hannibal's 8th graders as they wait tables to raise money for their 8th grade graduation party!
A fundraising breakfast to support the Christian Camp at the Ursa Retreat House will be held at Unity High School’s cafeteria on Saturday, March 24th. The serving will be from 7am to 11am and will feature whole hog sausage, pancakes, hot cinnamon rolls, fruit, and drinks. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children 3 to 10 years of age.
The Quincy Family YMCA is holding an Easter-Egg Hunt in The Pool on Sunday, March 25th. from 3 to 5 pm. In a unique twist on your typical Easter egg hunt, children in different age groups can dive for Easter eggs in the pool or collect them floating on top of the water. Find the golden egg and win a gift card. Each child will hunt for eggs in the pool, receive a candy bag for their eggs, make an Easter treat and the Easter bunny will be available for photos. Parents are allowed in the pool with their child. This event is FREE for YMCA members and cost $10 per family or $5 per child for non-members.
The 2nd annual Young Life Trap Shoot will be held on Friday, March 30 at the West Quincy Gun Club. Registration & lunch begins at 11 am with shooting beginning at noon. The event is open to the first 20 teams to sign up. For more info, call 653-7042.

The 5th Biennial Quilt Show, presented by the Hannibal Piecemakers Quilt Guild will be held on April 6th and 7th at the Admiral Coontz Armory in Hannibal. Admission is $5. There will be over 300 judges and non-judged quilts on display. For more information, call Lesa Spegal at 573-248-8866.

The Ladies of St. Joseph will be holding their annual Spring Card Party on Sunday, April 8th with a luncheon beginning at 12:30. The menu features pork loin, potatoes, green beans, fruit salad, homemade rolls and desserts. There will also be a country store, bake sale and a raffle. The cost is $8 to attend at St. Joseph’s Church just east of Highway 104 at 1500th Street.
A benefit for 10 year old Paisley Johnson will be held at the Rocky Point Club on Saturday, April 14th. Paisley, who has had 5 previous surgeries to repair a cleft lip and hard palate, will be having a 6th surgery soon. The event will feature food, an auction and raffles and will go from 1pm to 10 pm.
Meals on Wheels is holding a Cook’s Night Off event on the third Thursday of the month throughout 2018. It’s a fundraiser for the Meals on Wheels program as they offer eat-in, carry-out, or drive thru meals for just $7 each. All meals include either Fried Chicken or Roast Beef, two side dishes, bread and dessert. The hours for each 3rd Thursday of each month are 4 to 6pm at the Senior Center at 639 York Street.
The Flower Children, American Cancer Society Relay For Life Team, is hosting the 18th Annual Spring Fling Dinner/Auction on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the American Legion Building in Palmyra. The evening begins with a social hour at 5, dinner catered by HATS Restaurant at 6 and live and silent auctions at 7:15 plus raffles and other exciting activities. Tickets are $25 each and include an entree choice of KC Strip Steak or Pork Loin. The Flower Children hope to cross the $1,000,000 raised to date for Relay at Spring Fling.
The Dream Big Color 5K Run/Walk to benefit Quincy Public Schools will be held on Saturday, April 28th. The event will be held at Quincy Senior high school at a cost of $20 per person 11 and older and $10 for children 4 to 10 years of age free for those 3 younger
Quincy's Autism Support Group will be hosting a training for first responders and special needs called, "Take Me Home". Sgt. Jimmy Donohoe with the Pensacola, Florida Police Special Projects and Capt. Bill Cannata retired Westwood Fire Department will be the featured speakers on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at the Kroc Center in Quincy. The event will run 8:00AM-1:00PM and there is no cost. This is professional training and police, firefighters, paramedics, deputy sheriffs, doctors, nurses, 9-1-1 dispatchers and volunteer rescuers are encouraged to attend. Stowell Elementary's Spring Carnival is being held on Friday, May 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the school at 500 Union Street in Hannibal to help raise funds for the school. There will be 17 fun games for ALL ages, 2 bounce houses, a dunk tank, and photo booth! Food and drinks will also be available for purchase. You can purchase a punch card with 20 punches for $5.00.
