City of Quincy Announces Holiday Schedules

Quincy City Hall will be closed at Noon on Tuesday, December 24 and all day Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday.  City Hall will reopen Thursday, December 26, for regular business hours.  Quincy City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, January 1 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday. City Hall will be open until 4:30 on Tuesday, December 31, New Year’s Eve. City Hall will reopen Thursday, January 2, 2014, for regular business hours.

Central Services will be open on Tuesday, December 24 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. They will be closed on Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday and Wednesday January 1, 2014 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday. They will be open regular hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday December 26; New Year’s Eve Tuesday, December 31, 2013 and Thursday, January 2, 2014.

Garbage and Recycle normally scheduled for Wednesday will be picked up on Thursday, December 26, 2013 and Thursday, January 2, 2014.

City buses will not be operating on Christmas Day but will operate on their regular schedule on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 and New Years Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013. The buses will operate on their Sunday/Holiday schedule on New Year’s Day. That schedule can be found on the city web site.
